Oklahoma Lottery players have 90 days to claim an instant scratch-off ticket and 180 days from the date of an online game drawing (e.g., Pick 3, Pick 4, Oklahoma Cash 5, Hot Lotto, Mega Millions and Powerball).
In the event the players do not claim their prize within these time periods, prizes become "unclaimed".
In Oklahoma, the first $500,000 of unclaimed prize monies will be transferred to the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for the treatment of compulsive gambling disorder and educational programs related to such disorder. All other unclaimed prizes will be added back to the overall prize pool to be awarded for future prizes or special prize promotions. |
